The Children First Act 2015 requires organisations that are providers of ‘relevant services’
to young people to prepare and display a child safeguarding statement. CoderDojo clubs
are a 'relevant service'.
A child safeguarding statement is a document that specifies the service being provided and
the principles and procedures observed to ensure, as far as practicable, that a child
availing themselves of the service is safe from harm.
To ensure your Dojo is taking all possible steps to safeguard children, you must prepare and display a Child Safeguarding Statement when the Dojo is in session.
Attached to this help article you will find:
- CoderDojo Child Safeguarding Statement: A Guide For Champions

These documents are intended to assist you in creating a Child Safeguarding Statement for your Dojo.
