If you are interested in starting a CoderDojo club (Dojo), we recommend that you take our free online course, Start a Dojo Club. This course has been developed by the CoderDojo Foundation and the Raspberry Pi Foundation and is facilitated through the digital education platform FutureLearn.
This course will build your confidence in coding and help you to set up a Dojo in your local area. You’ll find out how to teach young people how to build a website, create an app or a game, or explore technology in an informal, creative and social environment.
Who is the course for?
This course is designed for anyone who wants to teach young people how to code. You will learn alongside a cohort of other students and be supported by Educators from the CoderDojo Foundation and the Raspberry Pi Foundation. The course is also useful for existing Dojo champions and volunteers who would like to refresh their knowledge.

- Take a look at templates for a typical Dojo session and a typical year at a Dojo
What time commitment is required?
The course takes three weeks to complete and can be done at home in your own time. The total time commitment is approximately four hours. There are four ‘runs’ of the course per year, so if you miss one, you can always take part in the next run!
