Notifying users of a new event
It is quick and simple to notify the members of your Dojo about a new event that has been published. This can all be achieved within our community platform, Zen.
In order to send a notification about a new event, just log in to Zen and select 'My Dojos' from the drop-down menu on the top right of the page. Click 'Manage Events' and you will be presented with a dashboard of all your Dojo's events. Click the orange 'Notify All Members' button at the bottom of the page and select the event you would like to notify your members about.
Contacting all your Dojo members
We provide simple tools to allow you to contact your whole community. The following information assumes you are using Zen events and your members are booking into these events.
The main way Dojos contact their members is through our 'Send Email' function. To use this function, visit your Dojo page, and click on the Dojo whose community you want to contact. Then you can click 'Manage Users' and on the following page click on 'Send Email' to be able to write an email to all your community.
Contacting a particular user type
To contact parents/guardians, youths over 13 years old or mentors: use the filters at the top of the 'Manage User' page to filter your users before you send the email. In this example, we have filtered to only the Mentor/Volunteer group and the email we create would now send only to Mentors/Volunteers.
Exporting a CSV of Dojo members
If you have specific needs that are any more complex than the two above examples, we have provided export buttons on both the Dojo 'Manage Users' page and any 'Manage Events' page. These allow you to export a CSV of all Dojo member emails or the ones who booked into a specific event.
***Please note that when exporting users you should treat all exported data extremely carefully. Limit access and delete any exports when they are no longer in use for the Dojo.***
