CoderDojo is open and free for all young people around the world, and we are committed to being an inclusive movement. As such, we want all of our young people, parents/guardians, champions, and volunteers to have the best possible experiences and learning opportunities at their Dojos, and we actively promote inclusivity in order to best meet the needs of the local communities which CoderDojo serves.
All young people aged 7 to 17 are welcome to attend CoderDojo, regardless of their ability, need, background, race, culture, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or economic circumstances.
Through this inclusive practice, we aim to reflect our wider community and promote positive attitudes to both the similarities and differences in each other. All Dojo champions, through signing the CoderDojo Charter, commit to welcoming all volunteers, young people, and their parents/guardians regardless of gender, race, sexual orientation, creed, religion, or ability. By agreeing to the Charter, all Dojos are also pledging to align themselves with the CoderDojo inclusion policy.
