A Growth Partnership is a specific type of partnership with the CoderDojo Foundation that is focuses on supporting the scaling of the CoderDojo movement. Typically, Growth Partners are organisations or corporations that assist the setup of new Dojos by providing access to their own resources or infrastructure, for example multiple regional/global offices or venues, a large employee base, an active CSR scheme, etc. A Growth Partner may also assist with scaling the movement through externally facilitating the growth of Dojos through its customer base, clients, partners, and/or suppliers. Sponsored activities include: starting a number of Dojos, hosting Dojos in partner offices/venues, encouraging employees to open Dojos across multiple locations, and encouraging/sponsoring employees to volunteer at Dojos.
A Growth Partnership typically involves pre-agreed activities or goals to be carried out or achieved within a specific period, e.g. twelve months. This type of the partnership was standardised when two organisations, Accenture and Thomson Reuters, onboarded CoderDojo as a programme for its staff. More specifically, these organisations introduced CoderDojo in their offices around the world, contributing to successful global scaling and awareness as a result.
