Parents and guardians can help in many ways, from helping to set up the room or running a tuck shop to managing administration or becoming a mentor themselves. Some parents choose to help promote their local Dojo by designing and distributing flyers and other promotional material. Others may help to obtain donations of equipment, e.g. hardware and software. The most successful Dojos are the ones where everyone offers to help out.
Getting involved online
Parents and guardians are also encouraged to get involved online. When you sign up to the CoderDojo platform Zen, you can view your child's learning journey and also access:
- Forums
- Social media
- Slack
- Community events
- Blog
- Badges
We love to see parents engaging in community discussions and providing fresh ideas and feedback to help shape and grow the CoderDojo movement.
