Partnerships are fundamental to the CoderDojo movement, from local businesses that freely provide their venues to global corporates who mobilise and engage employees on a large scale. At the CoderDojo Foundation, we focus on partnerships that have the potential to impact our global community.
There are four main types of global partnerships:
- Growth partners — organisations who seek to start multiple Dojos (five or more) by using their local offices and engaging their employees.
- Pro bono — partners who provide pro bono services or products to the CoderDojo Foundation and/or the wider community.
- Alliance partners — partner organisations with similar visions and missions to CoderDojo.
- Funders — organisations or people that make a financial contribution to the CoderDojo Foundation on an annual or project basis. Donations enable us to work towards our vision of a world where every child has the opportunity to learn to code.
If you are interested in working with CoderDojo globally, we would love to hear what you have in mind. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org to get in touch.
Local partnership options
We also very much value local partnerships, and support on a smaller scale. If you are looking to get involved in supporting your local Dojo, we always welcome in-kind donations for Dojo resources, such as hardware, equipment, venue costs, insurance, etc. You can also provide prizes and snacks for participants or support a local event!
Furthermore, why not join the community by starting a Dojo in your workplace/office and encouraging your colleagues to become Mentors? Check out our ‘Start a Dojo for Corporates’ guide here. To jump in and start your journey as a CoderDojo Champion, please click here.
